So Many Choices!!!

I learned the Lost Ruins of Arnark today. We played with an expansion so my character was able to hold more artifacts. I think I understood the game pretty well, but I just felt like their were so many choices for me to decide from. It only last 5 rounds but there is so much you want to accomplish in that amount of time. Do you explore a new site or go for the safer route and avoid the guardian to visit an already discovered? But then you’re losing out on the 5 points and the possible bonus items. Or do you play a card or better yet buy a new card? Is it worth your resources? Will it help you in time? Is it better to do some research? But remember your magnifying glass must be at or above your notebook. Do you have enough actions to make this beneficial in the 5 rounds? Is that assistant that I pick up going to be useful if it doesn’t have the lightning bolt indicating it as a free action? So many questions. I feel I need to play it a few more times before I can be sure I understand what is best to do.
