Can you Use Meet Up to find Gamers?
I love a great cooperative game. I went to Gamer’s Geekery & Tavern to play some cooperative games. I learned Crew, Bomb Busters, and Ito. I was interested in playing both Crew and Bomb Busters. I have had Crew in my collection for a while but I haven’t opened it. It was such a quick game to learn. It is a cooperative trick taking game. I thought it would be a great game to play with the family. You should have heard the moans and groans when I asked them to play. After the first game, my daughter wanted to play again. Bomb Busters was on my list to learn because it has been climbing the ranks on BGG. It was also another quick one to learn. It has a bunch of different ways to play, but if you follow the basic cards to start it will walk you through all of the different parts of the game. Ito was more of a party game. You are given a number 1-100 and you need to describe the number based on the description that is given. For example, “things you want to take a picture of” 1 would be never wanting a picture of it and 100 would be the best things to take a picture of. Usually low and high numbers are really easy . It is all the numbers in between. Then you put down your card facedown and the rest of the group tries to give characteristics/change their minds about where to put the card. You do this until you think you have the numbers in sequential order and then your reveal them. We also played Just One which my daughter loves to play, so this wasn’t new to me. I highly recommend using meet up to find some gamers to play with.
